    In this class we will walk-thru (in depth) an actual Minnesota Probate Estate from the filing of the Application for Probate to the Final Accounts . . . and all the steps in between. Class participants will learn the entire process with current forms, Court and filing requirements, accounting and procedural steps, as well as the procedures for the sale and distribution of estate assets. We will also discuss the roles, responsibilities, and liabilities of a person who is appointed as the Executor/Personal Representative. The class will be filled with real-life examples and solutions to the multitude of issues involving a typical (or not typical) Minnesota Probate Estate. This class encourages questions: Is there a “reading of the Will”? What about personal items? Does the Executor get paid? What about estate bills and creditors? We will provide the answers.     This class is for anyone - No experience necessary but you must have access to a working sewing machine. Create and design a 72 x 90 T-Shirt Quilt by digging out your favorite T-Shirts, Jerseys or Sweatshirts from School, Vacations, Play, Sports, Dance, family memories.etc. Additional supplies such as fabric for the sashing, borders and binding can be purchased from the instructor or on your own. 10 yards of fabric is required to complete this quilt. Specific yardage as well as ways to quilt the top will be discussed at the first class. Anne offers class participants a special price of $95 to professionally machine quilt your T-Shirt Quilt. Class includes $30 of T-Shirt interfacing. You do not need to bring your sewing machine to the first class. Please bring a 45mm rotary cutter to the first class. Skill level - Beginner

Jennie Wagner has a B.S. in Plant and Soil Science from North Carolina State University and an M.S. in Horticulture from Virginia Tech. Prior to joining Extension, Jennie spent five years teaching agriculture and science at the high school and college levels. *Jessy Carlson, University of Minnesota Extension Educator – Urban Stormwater Jessy Carlson joined the Water Resources Center in December, 2024. Prior to that, Jessy served as a Resilience Extension Associate at Minnesota Sea Grant. In that role, she facilitated technical assistance for stormwater and shoreland ordinance updates across multiple urban and rural government units, created educational materials, and assisted local governments with communication strategies and outreach campaigns. She has held positions at the EPA, 1854 Treaty Authority, Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, and the US Forest Service. Jessy has a B.S.in Biology (Plant Science) from UW-Superior and a M.S. in Northern Environments and Cultures from Lakehead University. *Holly Bushman, Water Resource Manager for Le Sueur County Holly Bushman has a BS in Wildlife Ecology and Biology from University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and a MS in Natural Resources from University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. She has worked as the Water Resource Manager in Le Sueur County for 7 years. She has 10 years’ experience as a conservation professional.
