Ages 6-12. Give your child a fun and safe introduction to the world of horses! In this three-day, half-day camp, participants will learn the basics of horse care and experience beginner riding in a supportive environment. Snacks and craft supplies provided. Transportation not provided. Parents must sign a camp waiver. Perfect for kids who love animals, are curious about horses, or want a gentle introduction to riding and horse care. Indoor arena available for inclement weather. "Join Eagle Bluff's educators in their inflatable planetarium to explore seasonal constellations, their science, and their stories." NOTE: The Planetarium can only hold 50 individuals at one time and pre-registration is required. Sign-ups will be verified at the door for the appropriate time. Walk-ins will not be accepted. The Eagle Bluff Planetarium is a free community program due to the partnership between the Lonsdale Public Library and TCU Community Education Department.

Calling all 5th graders! Are you interested in being in band this fall? Sign up for summer lessons! Any student in grades 5-6 who will be NEW to band or switching instruments should be attending this opportunity. We will learn how to put our instruments together, how to hold it, how to play it, and we even learn how to read music and play songs by the end of the two weeks! If you want to be in band, sign up today! Don’t forget to stop by a music store to get your instrument, music book and supplies. The music book that will be used is the red Tradition of Excellence Book 1. If you need assistance with getting an instrument for the summer lessons and/or the school year, please reach out to dhowell@tcu2905.us. You will choose specific dates/times based on your instrument when you register. Up to four lessons (45 minutes each) are included in the fee. Two lessons per week are recommended, but you can select all four lessons in one week if that is the only option that works for you.

Entering grades 4-8. Come experience the joy of mathematics through laughter and games. You will also learn some mental math tricks and why they work, find patterns in unexpected places, and impress friends with your guesstimation skills.

During this 3 day presentation on online safety, topics will include the following information: · What to do when dealing with a cyberbully · How to protect personal information and how to spot potentially unreliable information · What to do if encountering someone/something that makes them feel sad, scared, or confused and Strategies for dealing with the inappropriate behaviors of others. · How to recognize healthy and unhealthy relationships · Understanding the risks of deepfakes, and AI. · Encouraging children to ask for help These presentations will include video, activities, and group discussions. Class is put on by the Le Sueur County DHS

During this 3 day presentation on online safety, topics will include the following information: · Inappropriate content: This includes pornography, excessive violence and hate speech. · Online privacy: The protection of children’s personal information, such as passwords and phone numbers · Online enticement: An individual communicating with someone believed to be a child via the internet with the intent to commit a sexual offence or abduction. · Sexting: sending or receiving nude or partially nude images, usually via cell phone. · Sextortion: Children are threatened or blackmailed by a person who demands additional sexual content, sexual activity, or money from the child. · Cyberbullying These presentations will include video, activities, and group discussions. Class is put on by the Le Sueur County DHS

Ages 4-6. This fun-filled camp invites children to explore dancing, creative movement, beginner tumbling, and stretching through music and play. Campers will enjoy a provided snack to rest and refuel their bodies before jumping back into more movement and dancing fun!
